The museum opens from Tuesday 19th February 2019 for the season.
Open days are Tuesday-Saturday at the following times:
February, March & October: 10am to 4.30pm
April – September: 10am – 5pm
The Museum has a new extension which is well-equipped for visitors. There is a foyer with reception desk where stewards will welcome you and provide help with enquiries.
In the foyer there are toilets, including one for disabled people and a baby-changing facility. A lift will take you upstairs to each floor, or you can take the lighthouse spiral stairs.
There are 2 main galleries and a roof terrace with seats at the top with a view over the valley and hills above the town.
To give you extra information about the Museum, there is a guide to purchase and audio guides to listen to on your tour, which are especially useful for people with partial or little sight.
We are a family-friendly Museum so there are quizzes and colouring sheets for children, as well as things to explore and touch in the galleries.
